
POSITIONS
As a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial PlannerĀ® Practitioner, Brent Hill has been a partner of Rudd & Company since 1976 and served as its president and chief executive officer for over twenty years.
Brent serves as an Idaho State Senator representing Madison and Fremont Counties. He is chairman of the Senate Local Government and Taxation Committee and also serves on the Senate Judiciary and Rules and Agricultural Affairs Committees.
Brent is also a member of the Board of Directors of Citizens Community Bank with offices in Pocatello, Chubbuck, Idaho Falls and Rexburg.
EDUCATION
After graduating valedictorian from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho, he attended Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho) before completing his degree in accounting at Utah State University. Upon graduation, he was honored by the American Institute of CPAs as the "Outstanding Accounting Graduate" from Utah State University. In 1988, he was named Accounting Alumnus of the Year and in 1995, was awarded the Professional Achievement Award by Utah State University.
EXPERIENCE
After graduation, Brent worked in Salt Lake City before joining Rudd & Company in 1976. He served as the firm's president and chief executive officer for over twenty years. He also serves on the Investment Advisory Council for BYU-Idaho, and is a frequent guest lecturer at colleges, professional groups, and civic organizations. Past activities include:

PUBLICATIONS
Brent has been active in the Private Companies Practice Section of the AICPA, which published his article on partner retreats in its national newsletter, The Practicing CPA, and featured him as a speaker at their national convention. He has also authored accounting and record books for franchises and agribusiness. His book "A Matter of Principle" is an exploration of American politics and tax structure.
FAMILY
Brent and his wife Julie live in Rexburg, Idaho, and are the parents of four sons: Justin, Ritchie, Michael and Kevin.
