
Bradford Cannon
Brad is a partner in the Idaho Falls office of Rudd & Company. Brad has over 30 years of experience and previously was responsible for the firm's audit and accounting practice. Brad continues to consult and perform work in the accounting and auditing field and in tax consulting and compliance services.
Brad is a past president of the Idaho Society of CPAs (ISCPA) and has served four years as a member of Council of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Brad has completed six years of service on the AICPA Joint Trial Board, and is currently a member of the AICPA Independence Behavioral Standards Subcommittee. His prior service includes four years on the AICPA CPE (Continuing Professional Education) Advisory Committee and nine years on the ISCPA Board of Directors.
Brad graduated as Valedictorian of the College of Business at Utah State University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. He was honored by the AICPA as the "Outstanding Accounting Graduate" from Utah State University in 1975. He has a Masters of Business Administration degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California with an emphasis in taxation.
Upon graduation, Brad joined the audit department of the Salt Lake office of Fox & Company (now Grant Thornton). During his seven years in Salt Lake Brad started work on his graduate degree and switched to tax practice. In 1982 Brad was transferred to Fox & Company's Boise, Idaho office to be in charge of that tax department. Brad joined Rudd & Company in 1984, primarily because of his experience with financial institutions and previous auditing background. His tax and accounting background includes extensive experience in industries of construction, transportation, manufacturing, financial institutions and local governments as well as other areas.
Locally Brad has served as chair of the Ambassadors of the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce, as president and member of the Board of Directors of the Idaho Falls Country Club. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Idaho Falls Symphony Society and the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Advisory Board of the Utah State University School of Accountancy for ten years and on the ISCPA Southeast Chapter Board of Directors for seven years, including one year as president.
Brad and his wife, Sue, live in Idaho Falls and have four sons and four daughters (two still living at home). His outside interests include fly-fishing, tying flies, choral music and golf.
