Bob graduated as Valedictorian from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho. Active in sports and student government, he attended Ricks College and graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University in 1971.
Bob has served on the Federal and State Taxation and Management of an Accounting Practice Committees of the Idaho Society of CPA’s. He is also a past member of the Eastern Idaho Estate Planning Council and the National Network of Estate Planning CPA’s. He has served as Chamber President and on the boards of many civic organizations
After graduation, Bob worked for four years as a tax supervisor with the national accounting firm of Fox & Company in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1975, he joined Merrill Rudd in Rexburg to form the partnership which later became Rudd & Company PLLC. Bob served as managing partner and president/chief executive officer from 1983 to 1985, and presently serves as vice president and director. He specializes in business and tax planning with particular emphasis in estate planning and consulting with small to medium sized businesses.
Bob has served many clients in Montana since 1975 and in 1999 moved to Bozeman, Montana and established the Bozeman office of Rudd & Company with John Clark.
Bob and his wife, Margaret, live in Bozeman and are parents of nine children and grandparents of 15. They enjoy camping, hiking, fishing and church activities.
