Scott A. Holton is a partner in the Bozeman office and joined Rudd & Company in January 2004. Scott brought 5+ years experience of managing audit engagements ranging from large publicly traded companies to small start-up companies. Scott obtained his audit experience from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Portland, Oregon, where he was an audit manager focusing on a wide array of clients (including, utility, telecommunications, manufacturing, high-tech, healthcare and service provider companies). Scott is committed and experienced in managing and coordinating large and small audit engagements in simple and complex business environments. He has returned to Bozeman and joined the firm to help build and lead the audit practice in this office, as well as, build the tax and business advisory practice. Scott enjoys working with all sizes of businesses and individuals looking to maximize income while actively managing their tax obligations.
Scott received his bachelor's degree and Masters of Professional Accountancy from Montana State University in Bozeman in 1997 and 1998, respectively. Scott is a licensed CPA in the State of Montana, Oregon and Washington and a member of the Montana Society of CPAs. Additionally, Scott participates on the Financial Statement Review Committee with the Montana Society of CPAs. Scott is a certified fraud examiner (CFE) and received his certification from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. This certification provides an additional specialized skill set relating to fraud auditing and investigation in all sizes of organizations. As an active board member in the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club, Scott looks to give back to the community through service.
Scott, his wife Jennie, daughter Alexis and son Allister enjoy all the outdoor activities available in the Bozeman area including running, cross country skiing, hiking, biking, golf, tennis and water and snow skiing. Scott enjoys running with his clients regularly and welcomes new running partners!
